Once overlooked, Randall’s Island Park is now coming into its own as one of New York City’s premier public parks. For the past 16 years, the Randall’s Island Sports Foundation, now known as Randall’s Island Park Alliance has worked with the City, the local community and other supporters to realize the Park’s enormous potential.
Open space in the New York City of the 21st century is a rare and valuable resource. As residents of one of the world’s largest cities, our connection to the natural environment is often limited. The gardens on Randall’s Island provide opportunities for the public to participate in creating interesting and unique gardens.
