Thank you Vincent for answering our Up Close and Personal question.  It’s the first ID question of this blog.

The tulip pictured is China Town Viridiflora Tulip.  You can find it at the Waterfront Garden.  Viridiflora tulips are easy to spot.  They are characterized by their green-streaked flowers.  Virdiflora Tulips are great in beds, but also make a good cut flower.  The leaves are remain variegated even after the bloom is over.

According paghat.com, green tulips have been around since the early 1700’s.  For us, they have been tried and true for the last six years.
